Turn your playing up to 11, in just 10 weeks!
Do you love playing guitar, but think you can’t improve because you "have no time"?
Do you feel like you've reached an impassable roadblock, but don't know how to get unstuck?
The solution: Busy Guitarist Bootcamp!
But what IS BGB, exactly?
BGB is a 10 week Online Camp designed to give even the most time-strapped guitarist the tools they need to become a better musician. Every week, we'll meet LIVE for a one-hour group video lesson followed by Q&A. Each lesson builds off the last, helping you break through roadblocks and find freedom in your playing. Guided practice videos will shape up your playing in short bursts of focused exercises.
If you've ever wanted to give up on the guitar...
YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
My name is Sean and I’ve been playing guitar for over 20 years. But believe it or not, for the first few years I played guitar... I HATED it!
There were MANY times during those years that I wanted to quit. I felt like I sucked and didn't want to practice...
Now that I've come out the other side, I look back at all the joy guitar has brought to my life and I want YOU to feel the same way!
So, what all is covered in the 10 week camp?
Every week will begin with a LIVE, one hour group video lesson covering the following topics:
This week, we'll get introduced to each other AND the foundational concept of our camp: the CAGED system. What is it? How do you use it? And, why the CAGED system works!
This week, we'll break down the Major scale. As the foundation of Western Music, all music branches off from here. We'll discuss how to play the scale on guitar and how to use a "formula" to find its notes on the fretboard.
This week's lesson breaks down the Minor Scale. We'll explore it's relationship to the Major Scale and what makes it different. Scale patterns, the "formula" and how to practice it will be covered.
This lesson will cover the common chord types including Major, Minor and Dominant. We'll explore how each chord is constructed and how to find them up and down the guitar neck.
This lesson will show you how to "spice up" your chords with intervals, suspensions, and modifications. We'll discuss how these chords are often used and when you may want to try them in your playing.
In this lesson, we'll begin the process of building our RHYTHM GUITAR skills! Without good rhythm, you don't have anything. Techniques like muting, strumming, and rhythmic values will be covered.
This week will see us delve into more complex techniques of rhythm guitar such as fingerpicking and triads. We'll also push our rhythmic studies into triplets, rests, and more.
This lesson begins our journey to take scales and patterns and turn them into melodic solos and lead guitar parts! We'll talk about bending and vibrato and explore alternate, economy and hybrid picking styles.
This week focuses on style and feel! It's all about phrasing, melody and how you can craft leads to serve the song...and insert a little bit of speed.
For our final week together, we'll bring EVERYTHING we've learned together and celebrate our progress together. We might even find a way to jam together!
...and all of these will be followed
by an open Q&A session!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
BGB is specifically tailored to the time-strapped guitarist. If you struggle with finding time to practice, knowing what and how to practice or wanted a more guided approach to online lesson this camp is for you!
Honestly, no. Some of the concepts we'll be discussing are best understood if you've been playing guitar for a few years. If you don't understand basic music "lingo" like Major, Minor, scale, octave, etc. this course is not for you.
Our first class will take place this coming January 2025. A full schedule of lesson dates will follow around the first of the new year. When you purchase the course today, consider it a pre-order.
No. When you sign up you are registering for the full 10 week course. Each lesson builds off the one that came before it so you may miss something crucial to understanding what is taught.
The main part of each week’s session is a ONE HOUR group lesson. This will then be followed by an open Q&A session which has no set time. You are encouraged to stay for as much as your time allows but if you can only stay for the lesson that is the most important part.
After this initial registration period I’ll send out a quick survey with potential days of the week and times. Whichever day and time gets the majority vote will be when our classes meet.
Absolutely! You can send me your question and as long as I receive it no later than the day before the class, I will make sure it gets answered!
This course is a brand new thing. When you sign up for this first round you’ll be part of my beta test group and your feedback will help me make improvements on the course for future students. As my way of saying “thank you”, you’ll get this special price and access to all updated course materials.
